Overwatch 2 Officially Underway

So long Overwatch Origins, hello Overwatch 2! Overwatch 2 is now live and underway on multiple platforms with the former 2016 Game of the Year award winning becoming the classic many PC and console players setting off for new heights in this free to play sequel. The first-person shooter developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment has introduced some new features along with updated gameplay into Overwatch 2. Expect to see new characters Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko along with updated maps and layout changes, new game modes, and the new 5v5 team setup. From watching Overwatch league and the rollout of Overwatch 2, the expectation of the new game may vary from the experiences of those playing it. Many will pick up with the new features and gameplay fairly smooth instead of expecting a complete overhaul from the last game.

Expecting this great first-person shooter in Overwatch 2 to continue with excitement and competitiveness is expected after becoming immersed into the characters, storyline, and gameplay. A significant number of new features as well as hiccups were to be expected while jumping into gameplay without any issues was not at all likely. Blizzard themselves mentioned some "Known Launch Issues" and "Known Bugs". They created a new SMS Protection requirement that was important to understand in order to play. They may still have a forum detailing the main and any ongoing issues, but everything is pretty much ironed out with Overwatch into a few seasons into now.

Everyone who logged in during this first season should have received heroes, Junker Queen and Sojourn regardless of if they are a new player or not. Players who own the original Overwatch copy can claim Kiriko through the Founder’s Pack at any time before the end of Season Two.
